The Kate gray memorial trust mentor program

WHATS IT ALL ABOUT????

The Kate Gray Mentor Program

Is a 1 - 2 mentor program designed to support and nurture senior Maori students who demonstrate excellence, determination or motivation in the visual arts. The program is designed to offer these students unique experiences to inspire and motivate them in their future creative pathway.  Although this program is targeted towards students of Maori descent we may include students of other nationalities who offer the program a cultural perspective and who are prepared to immerse themselves in kaupapa Maori (Maori concepts and protocol).

Responsibilities of the Trust members:

  • We the members of the Kate Gray Memorial Trust aim to provide the participants with relevant and unique artistic experiences that are based within kaupapa Maori. These experiences will be designed to inspire, motivate and build confidence within the individual and the group.

  • We will ensure the safety and well being of all that participate in these activities during our care and commit to supporting each applicant when and where appropriate.

  • We endeavor to support students financially by covering all costs of the course including materials, hire fees, transport and food and accommodation where applicable.
